The Community Building Administration offers creative conversations, a fast pace, solution-focused working methods, and gives you the opportunity to drive and participate in changing community building processes. We are a collaborative administration between Hällefors, Lindesberg, Ljusnarsberg, and Nora municipalities with a broad mandate within the municipalities' community building processes.

The administration consists of three main operational areas: technical operations, planning and projects, and construction and environment.

Within the Technical Operations' Water and Sewage department, about 50 quality-oriented employees work to ensure that our citizens have access to our most important food, drinking water, every day and ensure that wastewater and stormwater are drained. You do this by contributing to creating a sustainable infrastructure over the long term. Your mission is to work with your colleagues to ensure that operations run as efficiently as possible and contribute to continuous development and a reliable water and sewage pipeline system.

The VA Pipeline Network unit currently consists of 17 people, distributed among 1 unit manager, 3 team leaders, 1 technical administrator, 2 investigators, and 11 construction workers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of construction worker in the VA Pipeline Network unit, you will perform construction assignments within our entire area of responsibility but with a focus on the northern municipalities.

As a construction worker, you will be part of a team consisting of three other construction workers, one day worker, and one team leader. Our goal is to build a strong unit with a focus on collaboration, and we are therefore looking for someone who is self-assured and skilled at building relationships, both internally and externally.

Your main focus will be to carry out various assignments related to pipeline network work on the water and sewage systems. This includes troubleshooting, repair/maintenance, and laying new pipelines. Your responsibilities include setting out, ordering materials, contacting property owners, and coordinating with contractors. Additionally, you will be involved in documentation work in our systems.

In addition to your daily tasks, you are expected to actively contribute suggestions for measures to continuously improve the reliability of the water and sewage pipeline system.

You will be based in Nora, where one of our VA construction workers is located. Your other colleagues within the VA Pipeline Network in the northern municipalities are based in Hällefors.

On-call duty may occur as part of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of construction worker, you need to be structured, curious, and analytical. You enjoy problem-solving and are used to working outdoors in various weather conditions. Your ability to communicate and document your work, both verbally and in writing, is crucial. Good collaboration skills and flexibility are also important traits to thrive in the role.

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education, preferably in the water and sewage area or with a technical focus, and we would like you to have completed the YH training for Pipe Network Technician or another education that the employer deems equivalent.

A driver's license (B) is required as you will be working over a large geographical area. A C driver's license is a plus if you have it but is not a requirement.

Previous experience working with water and sewage pipeline systems is highly meritorious.
